Yonex Astrox 88D Pro Badminton Racket 4U , G5

Yonex Astrox 88D pro is an upgraded version of Astrox 88D model with some enhanced features, material technology and balance adjustment. This Astrox model is a newly added racket and suitable for doubles.

Further, to make this racket suitable for 3rd line game, shuttle hold time is optimised to get better repulsion. Better repulsion helps in placing accurate and powerful shots. 

This Yonex racket is built on Namd technology. Namd is a new material technology which helps in better bonding of resin and graphite fibres. Namd directly combines the graphite fibre to nanomaterial which offers better shaft characteristics (Improvement in Shaft flex and improved the power transfer to shuttle.) 

Yonex trademark technology known as Isometric is used in developing the racket head shape. In Isometric technology, the sweet spot of the racket is enhanced by optimising the main and cross strings. With Isometric technology, the sweet spot area is improved by 7% which helps in placing powerful smashes. 

Weight of the Astrox 88D Pro is around 85 to 89 gms while recommended string tension is around 26 to 28 lbs. Shaft of the racket is 10 mm longer as compared to a normal Yonex racket. Longer shafts help in generating more power on shots.

Unwanted vibration is something which is not desirable in a racket at all. Vibration in rackets is a phenomenon which always creates problems in placing accurate shots. To overcome this issue, Astrox 88D Pro is equipped with Solid Feel Core.Solid feel core is inserted into frame, this core is made of vibration absorbing material and works as a damper.With less vibration and a stable racket head , players can perform accurate drop shots , cross corner shots and deceptive shots with precision.

Extra Slim Shaft is another innovative technology Yonex adopted in this racket. To develop an extra slim shaft, Yonex used the Nanometer material in the shaft, Nanometer material offers strong weight to strength ratio, (Now slim shaft can be produced without compromising the impact strength of the racket).
